The 48-year-old Hugh Jackman went on an extreme diet and fitness regimen to build up for his final Wolverine film, Logan. However, now his mutant days are all in the past, and Hugh Jackman has been flashing a more streamlined figure over the last few months.
Hugh Jackman unveiled a slimmer face this past week when he attended the Broadway musical Come From Away alongside his 61-year-old wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, on Wednesday.
Hugh was wearing a greyish top and blue jeans that clung to his slim physique. He seemed to beam with joy when he posed with his wife outside the theatre. Deborra-Lee looked supremely stylish in the black smock dress, topped with a quirky cap while showcasing her decolletage and wrists with chunky gold jewels.
Hugh had spent 17 years to appear in nine movies wearing Wolverine’s claws before he announced that he would quit the franchise after the release of his recent movie Logan.
On a recent appearance on The Graham Norton Show, Hugh Jackman described the strict exercise and diet measures he took to reconstruct his build for the role. He also admitted that he follows a method called ‘dehydration’. Hugh shared that he was able to lose 4.5kgs of weight by drinking lots of water before going into a non-drinking time-frame of dehydration. The Wolverine actor drank about 10L of water per day in his training for the film and made sure to stop drinking around 30 hours before shooting scenes.
On Jimmy Fallon’s show, Hugh Jackman explained about his diet. He shared that he ate steamed chicken and broccoli at a gap of every two hours, and consumed a total of 6500 calories per day.
‘It’s not like I never had a cheat meal, ’cause I did. But for 17 years, I’ve kind of known: ‘Well, next year, you gotta get into shape …’ It kind of puts a bit of a dampner on things,’ he shared.
Hugh Jackman Instagrammed a photo of himself holding a big bowl of pasta as he prepared to break his Wolverine diet post the release of Logan.
