Jen grew up in the county of Spring Grove in Chicago, Illinois with her parents and three siblings.
Once, she was asked, how her childhood went to which she replied with a simple and concise “normal”. After this, she elaborated that she had seen many of her friend’s parents getting divorced. After recalling their misery, Jen said that she was thankful to God for her “normal” family and childhood.
Jen developed a keen interest in journalism in her childhood, when she attended Marian Central Catholic High School in Woodstock, Illinois. She was also known to be an excellent cross country runner and was a standout on the school’s track team.
It was because of her athletic prowess that she got into Marquette University with a scholarship. She attained her degree in Broadcast Electronics from the University.
