It is bizarre to know how much unpredictable a fashion industry can be. Kate Upton is the epitome of perfection and beauty but can anyone think of such materialistic industry telling her to lose weight almost ‘all the time’? Oh hell no!

Kate Upton has built an extraordinary modelling career, but she candidly revealed that she was told to lose weight during the initial days of her modelling career. The 24-year old told Glamour that she was, all the time, asked to lose weight until one day she thought it’s unrealistic to conform to the ever-changing demands of the industry.

Kate Upton shared her unpleasant experiences of people telling her to lose some pounds when she started her career in front of the cameras and was every day asked to start a diet to achieve that ideal shape and weight. But she does not regret the decisions she made during that time, and that’s the reason why she’s thriving.

Kate Upton revealed the pressure developing in her mind was so frustrating that one day she decided to be just the way she is and not listening to whatever anyone said.

“At first I tried to diet to become their image, but eventually I realised that it wasn’t realistic—that this is just the shape of my body,” Upton told Glamour magazine. “So I had to block them out. I think that the people who are the loudest about wanting to change you are the people with the least amount of vision and creativity.”

“In the beginning it was so hurtful,” she admitted. “But I have to say, the other day I was reading some negative comments, and I was thinking they were really funny. So I guess they don’t [bother me] anymore.”

The 24-year-old has since accepted her body, weight structure and has fostered her curves.

“A couple of years ago, there was a switch for me,” she explained. “I used to work out to have my hips be a certain size. Now I do it for myself because I want to be strong. I want to have energy. In my mind I feel like I can beat someone up — I want to be able to do it! Oh, and I want a nice butt, and if it is a quarter inch bigger than the modelling world standard, that’s fine.”
