Beauty and the Beast sexy star Emma Watson recently spoke about women working in the Hollywood and raised some serious equality issues. She also stressed over the fact that why it is really essential to have women-centric films. It is not only required for women working in Hollywood, but also for women across the world. The sexy siren certainly exposed the not-so-much talked about criticism that women have to experience for what they wear, what they do in movies and how they are always treated as a pushover as compared to male actors.
Anything that deviates from the norm is difficult to accept. I think if you’ve been used to watching characters that look like, sound like, think like you, and then you see someone [unexpected] up on the screen, you go, “Well, that’s a girl, she doesn’t look like me. I want it to look like me so that I can project myself onto the character,”‘ the sexy hitmaker adds.”
She also added
[Women] see whoever is on screen and recognize the human qualities in the man that we relate to, and there’s not such a gap. But for some reason, there’s some kind of barrier there where [men] are like, “I don’t want to relate to a girl.” I think it is inherently part of the problem’.’
Recently there was an enormity over the casting of Felicity Jones for Rogue One. Emma Watson has justifiably brought up the issue as most of the time men are just not able to deal with the female character highlighted as a hero and remember there is always a hero. Men become inferior with the female playing the strong character on screen, and that is infuriating enough for them.
According to sexy Emma Watson, taking more women in lead roles in movies would be a step toward equality, which will indubitably help women across the world. But there is good news for all the equality believers as MTV has revoked gender category awards and performance of Emma Watson in the movie Beauty and Beast will be up against the role of Hugh Jackman in Logan. Well, cheers to her honesty and courage. We love you, Emma!!
