Zoe Saldana recently shared a video unveiling how meticulous (and metamorphosing) her makeup schedule is for Gamora. The actress is back in her role as the kick ass character in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. The movie is all set to hit the theaters coming Friday, after her debut in the 2014 surprising hit. Picking up straight after a few months of the first film, Gamora’s arc professes to be one of the most stunning and gripping in the sequel. Her unsaid romance with Star-Lord/Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) continues growing, and she is reunited via some violent and unfavourable circumstances with Nebula (Karen Gillan), her foster sister.
Not surprisingly, Guardians Vol. 2 is coming up to be one of the most anticipated movies of this year. But a lot of talks is being made regarding the directing, writing and acting in this particular series, with James Gunn reappearing at the helm of the sequel, one of the saga’s key strengths has always been its impressive visual technique and the extensive range of colours used throughout both the films. That is not just limited to the planets and the ships that the Guardians visit. It is manifested in makeup and designs of some of the characters themselves. Straight up the top of that list is Zoe Saldana’s Gamora. With green skin and shocking red hair, it has continually been transformative undertaking for the actress herself.
In the latest video she posted on her Twitter account, Zoe Saldana shared just how arduous her makeup transformation for the character is. The 38-second video is time-lapse of what went on for as long as three hours, in fact.

This particular video came after a lengthy press tour for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 in which Zoe Saldana was frequently questioned about her makeup methods for the film. Although Dave Bautista’s transformation into Drax was diminished down to about a ninety-minute process, Saldana endured over three-hour-long transformative process.
